Possessivpronomen (Possessive Pronouns)

Every personal pronoun has a matching possessive word — "my", "your", "his", and so on. They all decline the same way.

Regel (Rule)

Masculine and Neuter use the bare stem. Feminine and Plural add -e. This is the exact same pattern as ein/kein (see Artikel) — nothing new to learn beyond the stems themselves.

Merke (Note)

er and es share the same possessive, sein — matching how they already share the same verb ending (see Personalpronomen). And sie (she), Sie (formal), and sie (they) all use the same stem ihr/Ihr — only the capital letter tells formal Ihr apart from the other two, the same capitalisation rule that already applies to Sie/sie itself.

This page is Nominativ only — see Akkusativ for how these change (or don't) as a direct object.
